A breakdown of one person’s thoughts on the design and construction of Elon Musk’s Hyperloop invention, hypothetically costing 1/10th the cost of high-speed rail construction.
Travel inside the Hyperloop (a tube, where your “car” is pushed via airflow like old-time mail up skyscrapers) would be relatively fast, at, oh, about 600mph, but would it be safe? Easy to build? Tinkerer John Gardi took a stab at one possible design of the Hyperloop. If this is anywhere near what could be accomplished, why would we not want to build this and decrease travel time while increasing productivity? Do you think it’s worth the investment?
